Have you ever felt dead tired half way through a round of golf? I know I have! It was like the golf club weighed a tonne and every step forward was a struggle. I remember stopping at the half way house to grab a hot dog and a sugary sports drink to try and perk myself up. Does this sound like you? Golfers spend up to five hours on the golf course, so it makes sense that we need the right tasty golf snacks to provide all the energy we can get.
If we eat the wrong foods we’re not going to be feeling energetic enough to make a good golf swing.
This lack of energy also affects our brain functions and the ability to make smart decisions on the golf course.
The good news is there are many nutritious high energy golf snacks at our finger tips to help you charge through your next round of golf.

Adding peanut butter to a piece of whole wheat bread is a great source of fuel to keep energy levels high during a round of golf.
You probably could have figured this one out yourself! Water is not a snack as such but is the perfect partner to any one of the above foods. It’s surprising how little water some golfers consume during a round of golf.
In the Summer time I consume anywhere from one to one and half litres of water during a round of golf.
Waters benefits are obvious and needs to be consumed in small amounts every 15 minutes.
Water is a much better fluid source than a sugary sports energy drink.
It’s a must have on the golf snack list.
